Our impression of EICMA 2019
As motorcycle enthusiasts, we love new motorcycles. The all new Aprilia RS660, Ducati Streetfighter V4, MV Agusta Rush 1000, Triumph Bobber TFC, all were a feast for the eye. But our motorcycle gear-hearts are pounding faster from all the excited news and integration of new technologies around the new gear! Our business isn’t worth anything without motorcycles and manufacturers released some absolute gems this EICMA. Here are some of the amazing bikes EICMA had to offer.
First the Ducati stand, were we finally had the chance to take a look at the all new Streetfighter V4 showing his muscles and wings(!). With a whopping 208 hp and a curb weight of 200kg (440lb) this thing must be an absolute riot to ride!
More Italian designs we found at MV Agusta in the form of the Superveloce 800. This bike isn’t a surprise anymore, because MV Agusta already confirmed to take this bike into production in 2020, although precise data isn’t available… Still, this must be one of the sexiest designs of EICMA 2019.
Triumph shows their brand new Bobber TFC, Rocket lll and the triple cylinder bikes at EICMA. The Britons definitely know their customers, because people love the triples and didn’t ask for many improvements. Triumph improved the handling and fuel economy of their most important models. The Rocket lll is upgraded for 2020, both inside and out. The engine produces 167 hp and looks totally badass if you ask us. The Bobber TFC is a limited edition of the Bobber and Triumph will only produce 750 of them. This bike is fully loaded with accessories: Öhlins suspension, Arrow exhaust, double Brembo monobloc calipers, real leather seat and lots of carbon parts.
Our American friends from Harley-Davidson showcase a couple of new motorcycles at EICMA. One of them is the Pan America. This Adventure-touring motorcycle has the completely new 1250cc V-twin engine with plenty of power to comfortably ride on tarmac and isn’t afraid to get out on some sand and rock as well.
The other motorcycle Harley-Davidson put on stage is the all new Bronx. Finally Harley- Davidson complied with the desire to bring back the XR1200. This bike will also have the new 1250cc engine but also will be available with a less powerful 975cc engine. We can’t wait to shred some corners on this naked Harley-Davidson!
Japanese manufactures are releasing some pretty awesome bikes at EICMA. First Kawasaki is giving us a supercharged naked bike, which is completely mental of course. Then Honda blows it out of the water with the new CBR1000RR-R, which is nothing short of a fighter jet on two wheels. A totally different motorcycle is the new Suzuki V-Strom. The upgrades are mainly internal with new electronic systems. Although Suzuki made the engine more economical and comply with emission standards, the engine is more powerful by a few horsepower. The new “boxy” design clearly hints back to the DR Big of the Nineties and we like it!
And now ChromeBurner’s passion: Motorcycle gear! All the brands were represented at EICMA showing off their new technologies and collections. The photos below will give you an impression of what we can expect in the upcoming year. We really like that more and more brands are getting into more explicit designs and graphics. For example, look at this awesome design on the Schuberth C4 Pro.

Or Johann Zarco fans? Returning design, but it never gets old.
Touchscreen sensitive fingertips, is a feature that we can’t live without anymore. Good thing that your new gloves probably will have this too.
This Macna motorcycle hoodie is looking nice! A perfect fit if you’re living the urban, vintage or chopper lifestyle.

New technologies will be applied in the cooperation between HJC en Sena. They have worked together to create the Smart HJC line, custom made for the HJC helmets. The 10B model can connect to other riders via intercom up to 400 meters. With the 20B it’s even possible to connect up to 1.6km!
Also Sena is experimenting with camera technology, we’re exciting to see how that will turn out!
