This navigation system has a large 6-inch screen that is easily readable even in bright sunlight. Additionally, the screen is also resistant to various weather conditions (IPX7) and tough terrain. Rain? Vibrations? Dust clouds? No problem!

With the new visual route planner, it's possible to customize the journey to your liking. You can choose a thrilling ride with extra twists and turns or a more efficient route. Plan your route on the device, or use the app with a compatible smartphone.

Tread® smartphone app

Connect to your smartphone for an even better riding experience. Use the Tread® app, for example, to view your ride data, including your speed, gear shifts, decelerations, elevations, and share them with your friends through the app. Additionally, you can also start group rides through this app, allowing you to precisely track where your friends are riding.

You can easily send GPX files from your phone or a third-party device to your Zumo XT2 navigation device using this app. Furthermore, you can share GPX files with other motorcyclists through the Tread® app.

Discover new areas by exploring popular motorcycle paths and using the Garmin Adventurous Routing™ feature to find the most scenic and exciting routes with hills, curves, and stunning views. You can choose from four different difficulty levels.

The device comes equipped with the MICHELIN Green Guide and scenic roads to help you find the most picturesque routes. With the MICHELIN scenic roads, you can have unforgettable rides that you can easily integrate into your journey using the visual route planner. Thanks to the pre-installed MICHELIN Green Guide, including images, detailed descriptions, and reviews, you will know where it is worth stopping. If you prefer to make a spontaneous ride, you can select the marked green route directly on the map and start right away.

In addition to your own routes, you can also view popular motorcycle paths ridden by other riders to discover new and exciting routes. To keep you safe throughout the route, you will receive warnings of any hazards on the road, such as sharp turns, speed changes, and more.

The Zumo XT2 comes with preloaded topographic maps featuring 3D terrain and road maps for Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. For other areas, such as Africa with Tracks4Africa, North and South America, Australia, and New Zealand, maps can be downloaded for free via garmin.com/express.

Discover the best places on your route with suggestions for trendy locations. You can find local attractions and exciting activities near your current location by using the recommendations for local places.

Connectivity

With built-in WiFi3 connectivity, you can easily update your maps and software without a computer. When new updates are available, you'll be notified on the screen.

By using the Tread® app, you'll have access to real-time traffic and weather information, be able to share routes with other riders, and receive phone notifications.

In case of an accident, a text message with location information will automatically be sent to a pre-set contact.

What are the main differences between a TomTom and a Garmin?

The differences are plentyfull, but in our opinion the most important differences are: A TomTom Rider is more user-friendly in terms of operation and feels more like a smartphone. With the Garmin you have more options in terms of route planning and you can also drive off-road via so-called tracks, but it takes some effort using the device.

How do I install this navigation system on my motorcycle?

The navigation systems that we sell come with a mounting for the steering wheel of the brand RAM-Mounts. You can use this with most motorcycles, but if you need a better solution, you can indulge yourself with all possible parts that RAM-Mounts has in the range.

What maps are pre-loaded on this navigation system?

For each navigation system, we state on our website which maps are pre-installed and whether you can download other maps (possibly for a fee) from the manufacturer's website.

Can I upload routes myself in this navigation system?

You can load GPX route files yourself in both the TomTom and the Garmin navigation systems. You can create these files yourself using the TomTom or Garmin software, or download them from the internet.
