¿Cómo puedo medir la talla de mi casco?

La circunferencia de su cabeza es una buena guía para saber qué tamaño de casco necesita. Utiliza una cinta métrica para medir la mayor circunferencia posible de su cabeza. Para la mayoría de las personas, este punto se encuentra a unos 2,5 cm por encima de las cejas, a lo largo de la base de la oreja y sobre el bulto de la parte posterior de la cabeza. ¿Cuáles son los diferentes tipos de ajuste?

¿Cómo puedo comprobar si el casco me queda bien?

Puede comprobar la talla y el ajuste de las siguientes maneras:

Sujeta el casco y trata de inclinar la cabeza hacia atrás en el casco. Si el casco es demasiado grande (en sentido longitudinal), puedes tocar fácilmente la carcasa con la nariz. Puede deslizarse un poco, pero debe hacerlo con la resistencia necesaria.
Sujeta el casco y gira la cabeza de izquierda a derecha. De nuevo, se permite un pequeño desplazamiento, pero debe ser con resistencia. Si el casco se suelta de la cara en las sienes, es demasiado grande.

Por lo tanto, lo que está buscando es un buen ajuste "apretado", después de todo, no quiere que su casco se desplace mientras conduce. Si crees que el casco es demasiado pequeño, recuerda que el forro tiene que establecerse primero, por lo que el casco se hará un poco más ancho con el uso. Las almohadillas de las mejillas, en particular, tienden a sentirse bastante apretadas al principio, pero pronto se volverán más cómodas, ¡hasta cuando se muerda el interior de las mejillas con su nuevo casco!

Estados Unidos utiliza su propia certificación para los cascos, la marca DOT. Esta es la única marca de certificación permitida en EE.UU.. Sin embargo, es posible que un casco esté homologado tanto por la CEE como por el DOT y, por tanto, sea legal su uso tanto en Europa como en EE.UU..
