Garmin Zumo XT

The Garmin Zumo XT is the new flagship model from the number one developer of motorcycle navigation systems. The Zumo XT features a large 5,5" HD multi-touch touchscreen, making the experience of operating the unit very similar to operating a tablet or smartphone. The Zumo XT is completely future proof: with not only GPS, but GLONASS and Galileo reception as well you can go anywhere in the world. The Garmin Adventurous Routing feature allows you to plan challenging routes, both on and off road. Of course you can always upload your own routes (or tracks for offroad riding!) as well. The track recorder allows you to record a spontaneous ride and save the ride for later! As you may expect from a navigation system in this price range, the Zumo XT is absolutely top notch. The touchscreen is very clear and bright, the unit has an IPX7 waterproof rating and with a battery life of up to 6 hours, you don't have to worry about running out of juice if you take the unit off the bike for a while.

How to connect the Zumo XT?

Connect your Zumo XT to your phone and/or communication via Bluetooth to unlock it's full potential. Stream music from your phone and operate your playlist on the Zumo XT screen or just play MP3-files straight from the Zumo XT itself. Receive phone calls and operate your phone on the Zumo XT and receive phone notifications on screen as well. The Garmin Zumo XT is there to make your life as a rider a lot easier. WIth TripAdvisor, iOverlander and Foursquare integrated into the unit, you are sure to find hotels, restaurants, points of interest and everything else you need to know to make your trip a success. With the Garmin Drive app installed, you can also receive live weather forecasts and traffic information on screen. Should your Zumo need a map or software update, just find a Wi-Fi point and you're all set!

What is included with the Zumo XT?

The Garmin Zumo XT comes with a RAM Mount handlebar mount and power cable for your motorcycle, a suction cup mount and 12V cigarette lighter power cable to use the unit in your car and a USB data cable to connect it to a PC.

Please note: The Garmin Zumo XT comes with Full Europe maps preloaded. Other maps are available for purchase through Garmin.

faq

What are the main differences between a TomTom and a Garmin?

The differences are plentyfull, but in our opinion the most important differences are: A TomTom Rider is more user-friendly in terms of operation and feels more like a smartphone. With the Garmin you have more options in terms of route planning and you can also drive off-road via so-called tracks, but it takes some effort using the device.

How do I install this navigation system on my motorcycle?

The navigation systems that we sell come with a mounting for the steering wheel of the brand RAM-Mounts. You can use this with most motorcycles, but if you need a better solution, you can indulge yourself with all possible parts that RAM-Mounts has in the range.

What maps are pre-loaded on this navigation system?

For each navigation system, we state on our website which maps are pre-installed and whether you can download other maps (possibly for a fee) from the manufacturer's website.

Can I upload routes myself in this navigation system?

You can load GPX route files yourself in both the TomTom and the Garmin navigation systems. You can create these files yourself using the TomTom or Garmin software, or download them from the internet.
