    Shark Helmets

    Move over, Italian gear companies. For more than 25 years, the French company Shark has been on the forefront of the motorcycle helmet market, and for a good reason. This company was not founded by mere enthusiasts. Rather, professional racers came together to create helmets that truly reflect the style and desires of riders on all levels.

    Shark first opened their doors in Marseille, France in 1986. Since then, the company has grown to more than 600 employees, manufacturing about 350,000 helmets annually, which are sold through 5,000 outlets globally as well via online retailers.     Shark’s Innovation

    Rider safety is the number one priority of Shark helmets. Using their very own Research and Development lab, Shark tests and retests the latest and greatest in protection, functionality and comfort. Some of these prestigious racers include Raymond Roche, Olivier Jacque, Carl Fogarty, Randy de Puniet, Troy Corser, Pol Espargaro, Scott Reading, Olivier Panis and Cyril Despres. The sponsored riders don’t just wear the gear, however. They help design the helmets, plus test them in the most extreme conditions.     In addition, Shark sponsors their own racing events. These are not just for professionals. There are events for first-timers to get their feet wet and experience the thrill of bike racing.
