What is X-lite?

The brand X-lite is part of the Italian Nolangroup, which was founded in 1972. The company is currently the only helmet manufacturer which produces all their helmets in Italy via a fully integrated production process. From getting the raw materials until the final assembly: they all have it in their own hands. With more than 400.000 helmets that are produced every year, it is the largest helmet manufacturer in Europe. Nolangroup produces motorcycle helmets made from composite fibers under the brand X-lite.

X-lite production

The production of X-lite helmets is punctual and aimed at quality. The raw materials are being cut under high pressure. This is how they can make the opening for the visor and air intake. The first part of the production process ends with a robot sanding the surface and after visual inspection and manual finishes, the shell is painted. Finally the helmets are tested on track, road and in a windtunnel. This way they can gather data about the performance. They can perfectionate the product before they start mass production.
