These Cordura, Denim, DuPont™ Kevlar® pants from Trilobite have CE Level 2 hip, CE Level 2 knee protectors included. This combination provides abrasion resistance and the impact protection making it a durable and multi-functional pair of pants. The 1663 Probut X-Factor is waterproof thanks to a Detachable, Unbranded waterproof membrane, which allows you to stay safe and comfortable in inclement weather as well. In terms of thermal isolation, this pants is equipped with a Detachable, Thermal (legs) inner lining. When it comes to ventilating properties, in addition it is equipped with Ventilation zippers thighs.

This in contrast to a 3-layerd system where cold soaking wet pants press against the waterproof inner lining.

What is the advantage of trousers with a removable thermal lining and waterproof membrane?

Such a 3-layer system gives you a very versatile pair of pants that you could wear in any season. With both the waterproof and thermal liner removed you have maximum ventilation, with only the waterproof liner it is perfect for spring and autumn and with the thermal liner it is nice and warm on the cold days.
