    AGV motorcycle helmets

AGV is one of those brands that every motorcycle rider knows. Partly because of its long history, partly because of their presence in motorsports and the many top riders that use their helmets. The logo with the Italian flag and the AGV lettering is instantly recognizable and has been decorating motorcycle helmets since 1947.

Why should I buy an AGV helmet?

AGV is one of those front-running helmet manufacturers, pioneering in helmet design ever since the company started. Back in 1947 when motorcycle helmets were all but common, AGV designed a helmet that looked a lot like the helmets we know today. Sporting an energy-absorbing padded leather lining and a rigid outer shell, this helmet laid the basis for the first fiberglass crash helmet in 1954 and only two years later, the first jet helmet was born which enveloped the back of the helmet much better than the “pudding basin” helmets of that time. This high-speed innovation still applies today! The Pista GP helmet set the market on fire as we had never seen such a premium, high-tech and aerodynamic racing helmet before. The Sportmodular was the first full carbon modular helmet, wíth a carbon chin piece as well! What’s special about AGV, is their ability to quickly “trickle down” the high-tech technologies from their premium models onto the more reasonably priced models. This allows everyday riders to benefit from MotoGP technologies ánd styling.

Which kinds of motorcycle helmets does AGV produce?

AGV is mainly known for their racing helmets as most people instantly link the brand name to MotoGP riders like Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene and of course Valentino Rossi. Their racing helmet lineup is one of the most high-tech amongst all helmet brands. Going down from their absolute topmodel, there’s plenty of choice for sport and racing riders with slightly less deep pockets though! But it doesn’t matter how much you spend on an AGV racing helmet, you always get that famous Italian styling and great protection. But it doesn’t stop there of course! AGV offers a great selection of (sport-)touring helmets, adventure helmets and styling open face helmets for urban riders.
