What is the fit of these boots?

Each brand has its own distinctive fit, which can vary in width and shape. Below is a small overview of the more popular brands and their general fit:

Sidi: Sidi boots and shoes are known for their narrow fit. They are designed for those with narrower feet and can feel a bit tight for those with wider feet.

Alpinestars: Alpinestars boots generally have a wider fit. They offer more room in the forefoot and instep, which is comfortable for people with wider feet.

Dainese and Forma: These brands are known for their fit that is between narrow and wide. They often offer a good balance between comfort and support.

If you are unsure about the fit, it may be helpful to try on and try on several boots at our store before buying them online. This will give you the opportunity to try on different brands and models and determine which ones best fit your feet.

Do I always have to order motorcycle boots one size larger?

Not always. The idea that you should always choose a size larger for motorcycle boots is somewhat of a fable. It is actually important to look carefully at the size chart of the particular brand. Although there are some exceptions, the general rule is that you should be guided by the brand's size chart. However, it is important to note that the Sidi brand generally runs smaller. So if you choose Sidi motorcycle boots, it may be wise to go one size larger than your normal shoe size. If you fall between two sizes according to the size chart, we recommend choosing the larger size. It is better to have a little more room than to wear boots that are too tight, as tight boots can cause discomfort while riding.

Which boots are suitable for which season?

There are roughly three main types of motorcycle boots: ventilated boots, non-ventilated/non-waterproof boots and waterproof boots. Each type of boot has its own specific characteristics and is suitable for different conditions.

1. 1. Ventilated boots: Ideal for use in summer or hot weather. They contain breathable materials and vents to promote airflow and reduce excessive sweating.

2. Non-ventilated/non-waterproof boots: Suitable for mid-season wear, provide good protection and support. Not specifically designed to be waterproof, so avoid them in heavy rain.

3. Waterproof boots: Perfect for rainy conditions regardless of the season. They are made of waterproof materials and prevent water from entering the boots.

Choose the right type of motorcycle boot based on weather conditions and intended use. Remember, there are no typical "winter boots" that are extra warmly lined. Wear warm socks if you want to keep your feet warm in colder weather conditions.

Are these boots European sizes or American sizes?

On our website, most boots and shoes are listed in European sizes. However, there are some exceptions, such as Alpinestars sneakers/shoes and motocross boots, which are sold in American sizes.

To choose the right size, we recommend you consult the size chart available on the product page. This size chart provides an overview of how American (US) sizes compare to European (EU) sizes.
