About RST

RST was founded in 1988 by Jonny Towers. Originally the name of the brand was Rhino Sports Technology, but today the brand goes under the name RST. RST came about with a simple idea, which was to produce motorcycle clothing that offered exceptional value and quality combined with cutting-edge design and style. The brand began with bringing motorcycle gloves on to the market.

Jonny Towers is the driving force behind the revolution from Rhino to RST in 2001. With the arrival of the new name, the brand began developing its first collection of sports leathers and textiles. This was the beginning of a new chapter.

RST's entire collection is CE certified and its partnership with In&Motion brings integrated airbag technology to the market.

Race Clothing

RST is a big name within the racing and sports industry. Below is a small timeline of relevant events in which RST has played a major role.

In 2003, British Karl Harris won RST's first British championship by dominating the British supersport crown on a Honda CBR600RR. Karl was one of the most entertaining and tough riders of his generation.

In 2006, Andrew Pitt joined the RST team and debuted on the world stage for Yamaha in World Superbikes. After a stint in MotoGP in 2007, followed by several wildcards in the World Supersport championship for the legendary Ten Kate team, Pitt joined the team full-time in 2008 and secured RST its first world championship.

In 2014, the number of riders wearing RST suits around the world increased. That's when RST decided to build their first production facility for racing suits. This grew into not only a factory producing racing suits but a factory producing all leather and textile apparel.

RST became official safety partner of the Isle of Man TT in 2015 and also sponsored the RST Super Bike race, the traditional opening race of the TT. One of the proudest moments in the brand's history to be a partner of such an iconic event.
